Seven political parties are represented in the Swedish Parliament, "Riksdagen". In the general election 2002, the Social Democrats took 144 of the Parliaments 349 seats, the Conservatives 55, the Liberals 48, the Cristian Democrats 33, the "Left Party" earlier the Communists 30, the Centre Party 22, and the Green Party 17. The next general election will be held on the third Sunday of September in 2006. Below you'll find the homepages of the national organisations of the parties in the Parliament.
